Activate slowly and deliberately
Five gates before any form goes live
- Define one purpose.
Name the exact user, need, and response the route is designed to support. - Assign ownership.
Name the primary owner, backup coverage, routing rule, and realistic response expectation. - Minimize and protect data.
Use the fewest fields possible and define access, retention, deletion, and export practices. - Complete review.
Apply PARTNER, privacy, legal, CERT, youth, accessibility, and public-facing gates as relevant. - Test before activation.
Check mobile, keyboard, screen-reader labels, errors, confirmation messages, routing, and backup behavior.
While forms are still in development
